Participation Form for 112 Revelats

Current challenge

There is a moment, between the night that doesn’t want to leave and the day that hasn’t quite arrived, when things start to fall into place. The light of a bar open earlier than usual. A lost gaze behind a bus window. A rubbish truck moving slowly as someone climbs onto the back. Shadows, overwhelming silence, routine. No one says a word. Everything is about to happen.

This call is an invitation to photographers —new and not so new— who want to capture this unique, half-asleep instant: the very start of a working day. The moment when the first page of the script is just being loaded. People do not have to be present, but they may appear. Faces, objects, gestures, streets, machines, windows, traffic… anything that tells, without words, that the world is standing up.

What are we looking for?

  • A series of 4 black-and-white photographs per participant
  • Theme: the start of a working day, between dawn and the first hours of work
  • Locations: streets, interiors, bars, lobbies, transport, staircases, car parks…
  • Technique: Original photography by the author. The use of analogue formats will be valued, but is not mandatory.
  • Images generated by artificial intelligence will not be accepted.
