Participation form — Slow Portraits

112 Revelats – Participation form Current challenge: Slow Portraits

Submission deadline: September 6, 2026

Some images need time. A gaze that builds while the shutter stays open. Light passing through a tiny hole, projecting the world upside down inside a can. In a moment where everything moves fast, we propose returning to the pause: building a portrait from waiting, observation, and long exposure.

This call is for photographers who want to explore slow portraiture: pinhole cameras, long exposure, slow photography. No professional equipment needed. A tin can, photographic paper, and patience are enough.

What are we looking for?

  • A series of up to 4 photographs per participant
  • Theme: the portrait — faces, absences, presences, gestures, the body, the gaze
  • Technique: pinhole camera, long exposure, or any technique that requires slowing down the photographic process
  • Analog formats are valued but not required
  • AI-generated images will not be accepted
