Terms & Conditions — Slow Portraits
112 Revelats – Participation Terms Current challenge: Slow Portraits Submission deadline: September 6, 2026
1. Project purpose
The 112 Revelats project, driven by the publisher 112 Books, aims to collect original photographic works to form part of a collective publication. This initiative seeks to give visibility to emerging and established photographers through digital publications and, if possible, printed editions, as well as presentations, exhibitions and other associated cultural activities.
2. Participation requirements
Photographers over 18 years of age, of any nationality or residence, may participate. Participants must fully accept these terms. Only original works created by the author will be accepted; AI-generated images or plagiarized works are not allowed. Proposals must be submitted within the period established by the organization.
3. Materials to submit
Up to 4 images per proposal, in JPG, PNG or TIFF format, with a maximum of 10 MB per image. Images must be portraits made with pinhole camera, long exposure or techniques that require pause and observation (slow photography). A title and brief description of the project or series. Contact details and, optionally, social or web profiles. The files must be free of third-party rights and comply with intellectual property regulations.
4. Intellectual property and usage rights
Authors retain all rights to their images. By participating, they authorize 112 Books to use the works exclusively within the context of the 112 Revelats project, including:
- Dissemination on the official website and social networks of the project.
- Editing in digital format (eBook/PDF) and, if possible, in print.
- Exhibitions or public presentations associated with the project.
No commercial use unrelated to the project will be allowed without the explicit written consent of the author.
5. Editorial selection
An editorial team from 112 Books will select from the proposals received to ensure the coherence and quality of the whole. Selection does not imply a value judgment on non-selected works, which may be used with the author’s consent in future editions or activities if agreed.
6. Compensation and recognition
This project does not provide direct economic compensation. Selected participants will see their work published and receive editorial recognition: mention in credits and prominent accreditation in the project. In the case of a printed edition, authors will receive copies of the book and other promotional materials according to the conditions established by 112 Books.
7. Data protection
Personal data collected will be used exclusively for project management. They will not be shared with third parties without explicit consent. They will be kept for as long as necessary for organizational purposes and to comply with current data protection regulations. You can consult 112 Books’ Privacy Policy for more information.
8. Sponsorship and collaboration
Companies or entities related to photography can collaborate with economic or non-economic contributions to help finance the printed edition, design, production and dissemination of the project. Sponsors can obtain recognition and visibility according to the levels established in the project (Collaborator, Patron, Sponsor, Main Sponsor, Other non-economic collaborations). For more information or inquiries about collaborations, write to hola@112books.eu.
9. Acceptance of terms
Participation implies full acceptance of these terms. 112 Books reserves the right to modify or interpret these terms if necessary, always with the aim of guaranteeing the coherence, quality and transparency of the project. For any questions, you can write to hola@112books.eu.
